She¢s on a case for the government agency she works for when she meets her hero who¢s received a threatening letter. The two join forces in many ways but their lust may go unfulfilled. Crystal was captured, tortured, and brutally molested on a case several years ago that left her physically and emotionally scarred. Marshal helps her cope with her past a little at a time as they pursue villains around the world. Teresa Thomas crafts a complex story that is full of sensitivity for what Crystal what went through while still giving us dialogue that will often make you laugh out loud. She and Marshal are created as a matched pair when it comes to their wit, intellect, and romantic nature. The author burns up the pages with explicit romance as they find ways around Crystal¢s fears. The bad guys don¢t stand a chance whether the two are working solo or together. Several well penned cases intrigue them as Ms. Thomas builds suspense over and over again with the duo and their friends in pursuit of some really evil criminals. There are times when the secondary characters like Timothy the multi-talented desk clerk or Dr. Campana, the ex-lover turned friend steal the show. This is a multifaceted book that holds my attention throughout. I hope to see more adventures involving these players in the future. The author really knows how to hold my attention whether tugging at my heart strings or making me want to see how they find and catch the culprits involved in many diverse crimes. But everywhere she turns, tall, dark and handsome V is in her way. She holds secrets forced so deep in her soul that they only come out in her nightmares, shaking her like a quaking leaf in the wind. No man would ever love her with her being half a woman like this. V has received a strange message instructing him to come to a little known hotel in an equally little known town where he has apparently been convicted for 45 murders. Bemused, V travels to the town to find out what his happening where he meets the captivating Crystal. Teresa Thomas has written a powerful story that held me captivated at the beginning, stirred my compassion and lust, and made me be glad to be alive! The Adventures of V is one fine work of fiction that made me cry at the injustice of mankind, made me laugh and yet squirm at the white hot sex. A must read and a keeper!
